Overview
WebPxP is a new companion product to WebAttend that provides period-by-period attendance tracking and truancy detection. By integrating with your school timetabling package through TimeView (including Edval, The Timetabler and TimeChart), teachers can mark the roll for students throughout the day to identify students who are skipping classes.
Working in conjunction with WebAttend, WebPxP opens up a range of new possibilities for tracking attendance:
- Identify students who attend roll call but then skip classes later in the day
- Find students who are truanting in real-time
- Eliminate your morning roll call period completely and mark the daily roll from the student's first class of the day instead
- Feed back into WebAttend to record against the daily roll, as well as generating letters, emails and SMS notifications
Staff use a simplified version of the WebAttend roll marking procedure, simply marking students who are present/absent on a class roll each period. Students who arrive late to class or leave early can also be recorded in the similar fashion. The whole process takes only a few seconds at the start of each class.
